Also, check out this post Angela Coon over at UniquelyHis.net wrote about setting realistic growth goals for the New Year.

One goal that many people make for the New Year is to read the Bible all the way through. But without a plan, that goal often falls through. This is where a daily Bible reading plan comes in handy. There are many out there, so just take your pick. Simply type “bible reading plan” in a search engine. Some that are particularly good are the One Year Bible Blog the One Year Bible Online and the reading plans at BibleGateway.com .

Whether you have made resolutions and goals or not, the beginning of a New Year gives us an opportunity to take a deeper look at our lives and particularly our lives with God. I’d like to encourage you to take some time to get alone with God and ask Him to show you areas of your life that He would like the both of you to work on. Perhaps think about journaling what God says to you and also ask Him to help you on the practical side of things as well. In order to experience real growth and change we need a practical plan and God will help us with this as well.

May God bless you as you begin a New Year of life with Him!
