Read Genesis 1 and you’ll see that the creation of the world came about as a result of God’s Voice. God brought about life in the beginning through His Voice. All God had to do was speak and things like light, water, sky, and land came into being. The natural world that we live in today is a result of God’s Voice.

2 Timothy 3:16 says that Scripture is "God breathed" – it comes from His mouth. And Jesus responded to Satan in Matthew 4:4 by saying that "Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word Shrek 4-D download that comes from the mouth of God ." The Bible is often called God’s Word, and for good reason! Every word, phrase, sentence, and story comes from the mouth of God. In the beginning, God spoke and created life. He still speaks through His Word, the Scriptures, and it still creates life (2 Corinthians 5:17).
If we want to experience life and revival and renewal then we need the Voice of God, we need His Word! I like what George Mueller says, "The vigor of our spiritual life is in direct proportion to the place we hold the Bible in our thoughts." If you want to experience the life God has, pick up a Bible and let Him speak!
