Think about it. Jesus’ call to be his disciples is not a call to the comfortable, mundane, status quo, or mediocre. No, his call is quite different. Jesus calls us into a life of:

Jesus’ call to discipleship is anything but boring, mundane, or status quo. Therefore our journey of discipleship shouldn’t be either! If you are finding that your discipleship to Jesus is just a little to comfortable, read some of these and the many other Scriptures that show us what a life devoted to following Jesus might look like. Ask Jesus to show you an area where he wants you to dive in and with the help of the Holy Spirit, jump in!

Let’s accept the challenge of Jesus call to discipleship and by doing so discover what the Apostle Paul called the “life that truly is life.” (1 Timothy 6:19)
