Hey want to join the Calvary Assembly of God "twitter prayer team"?

What’s it all about?

This is an experiment in using technology (in this case text messaging) to help us become people who "pray continuously".

The idea is that you sign up for a twitter account (we’ll explain that in a minute) and follow the cagprayer twitter account . Every time a prayer request is posted to "cagprayer" you will receive the request via text message - then all you do is pray! A simple way to pray for the needs of others throughout the day.

"I’m in! What do I do next?

1. Go to twitter.com and sign up for a new account

2. Create your profile (the only thing you will NEED to do is input your cell number in the devices part of your profile so you can get the text messages - all the other info is optional to you)

3. Become a "follower" of cagprayer by clicking here and click "follow" and "turn device updates ON"

4. That’s it! Now just wait for the prayer’s to come to your cell phone as a text message and PRAY!

Some Details

• We don’t want to run your cell phone bill up, so we promise to not send any more than 5 messages per day max (there are no additional fees for using twitter, just your standard text message rates)
• All prayer requests will be screened and private details won’t be shared - only what is necessary for you to pray
• If at anytime you decide to stop receiving the prayer texts, all you need to do is go to the cagprayer twitter page and click "remove" from the "following" block
• If you would like to submit a prayer request you can do so in 3 ways:

1. by e-mailing prayer@calvarydover.org and simply put "twitter prayer" in the subject line
2. text a prayer request directly to the cagprayer twitter by texting: d cagprayer your prayer request here to the number 40404 (your request will not be made public immediately)
3. if you are online, sign in to your twitter account and "direct message" cagprayer by clicking "message" on the right side under "actions". Again, your message will not appear public until it is reviewed.
